Fragrance : A Poem

From the time I thought upon this word “fragrance” I don’t think about perfumes and all that because I don’t use them… And don’t know anything about them… So I’ve tried to describe it on my own way.. A different type of fragrance that everyone is familiar with…..

Fragrance is the pleasant smell

That puts all the misery in quell

But according to me its not about perfumes

As it has artificiality, fakeness that consumes

Fragrance of the mother child bond is eternal

That helps the new born to identify her mother

The fragrance of love and care of her

Made every child to sleep in the pristine lap of her

Fragrance of teacher’s teaching is also sanctified

That encourages the students to do study

They love the students like their own child

Equally distributing their fragrance to each child

Be that rose of the story “the fragrance”

Whose presence enriches the surrounding

Without diluting its own

And removing everyone’s frown

You shouldn’t have lots of money

To buy the fragrance from costly brands

But to purify the soul

From all the deeds that are good

Eventually that’ll become your fragrance

Spreading freshness everywhere……

Open your petals of power and beauty and fling out the fragrance of your life in the place that has been assigned to you.

My mom always says “Always keep flower in home for their beauty fragrance and for the lift that they give to our spirits”
